Time: 8:30-4:00

Scheerhoorn Makes Provincial Squad!

Tyler Scheerhoorn – Breakers Boys 17U – attended the recent OVA High Performance Centre held at Humber College, July 7-10. As a result of doing what Tyler does best on the court, he was chosen from this elite group of athletes from across the province to be a member of the 18U Provincial Team! Congratulations Tyler! John and Monique must be proud parents indeed. Tyler will now attend a training camp held at U of T during July 12-20 where Team Ontario will train together to prepare for the NTCC (National Team Challenge Cup) held at U of T, July 20-25. Make sure to find time to check out the competition. Details are available on the OVA website.

Tyler is the 3rd Breakers athlete in the past 2 years to crack the provincial squad. Last year Callum Mireault and Samantha Clarey were also selected to Team Ontario. Callum then went on to play at Dalhousie University and Sam returned to compete in her last year with the Breakers and will head stateside (soon) to play for Syracuse University.

Good luck Tyler and congratulations again! We’re all very proud of you.

Where: St. Mary’s High School – outside the gyms
